Tipperary's Paul Curran will be out of action for around five weeks after he suffered a broken jaw in the All-Ireland SHC qualifier against Dublin on Saturday.

Curran was taken off after 57 minutes of the Parnell Park encounter.

The 26-year-old Mullinahone clubman may now need surgery to repair the damage.

The loss of corner-back Curran is a serious blow to Babs Keating ahead of Saturday's qualifier clash with Cork in Thurles, where a win would see them dodge Munster champions Waterford at the quarter-final stage.
