RTÉ Sport understands that the Cork County Board will appeal the suspensions of their three players involved in the pre-match scuffle in Semple Stadium last month.

Clare have already said that they will be appealing the suspensions of Barry Nugent, Alan Markham, Andrew Quinn and Colin Lynch to the Central Appeals Committee. 

None of those appeals will happen tonight.

Cork announced their team to face Waterford on Sunday last night and John Gardiner, the only player who be cleared of suspension following the brawl in Semple Stadium, was included.

But Diarmuid O'Sullivan, Donal Og Cusack and Sean Og O'hAilpin were left out of the starting 15 by manager Gerald McCarthy
