The GAA's Central Competitions Committee is expected to investigate the pre-match scuffles which broke out at two Senior Hurling Championship matches yesterday in Thurles and Tullamore.
In Thurles, Clare and Cork teams came onto the field at the same time.
The Cork fans were behind the town goal and the Cork players were coming out of the tunnel on the opposite side.
When they went to cut over to have their puck around at the town end clashes broke out with the Clare players.
Meanwhile, up to a dozen players started swinging and hitting each other before the throw-in in the Offaly v Laois game in Tullamore.
The referee and his officials quickly intervened and booked two players before the start of the game.
