The Ulster Council of the GAA has confirmed that this year's Ulster hurling final will be played at Pairc Esler in Newry, should, as expected, Down be facing Antim.

The Newry venue is undergoing significant redevelopment work, which should be completed in time for the final, to be played on 27 May, a week earlier that planned.

Antrim will qualify for the final if they beat London on Sunday, while Down will have to overcame either Derry or Armagh.
