Galway's GAA Hurling Board has deferred taking any action on incidents which marred last month's County final between Portumna and Loughrea, until next week.
A sub-committee of the Board has examined video footage of an alleged stamping incident involving Portumna's star player Joe Canning and has also received the referee's report on the game.
But it has now decided to have a further meeting on Wednesday, 8 November, when representatives of the two clubs will be allowed to view the footage and make submissions to the board's games administration sub-committee. The meeting will take place in Clarenbridge.
County Board chairman Miko Ryan told RTÉ News that no action would be taken until after that meeting.
He said the Board has not received any formal complaint from either of the clubs of any of the players involved in the game.
