The Kerry hurlers have retained their Christy Ring Cup status after a 2-19 to 1-07 victory in today’s Relegation final at Cusack Park.
The Kingdom were always in control of the Ennis encounter and points from skipper Michael Conway, Ivan McCarthy and Andrew Keane helped them lead 0-07 to 0-02 coming up to the break.
A two-goal burst from Conway, who hit 2-06 in all, then blew the Rossies away. Mikey Boyle tallied up 0-04, while substitute Brian O’Donovan scored three points from play in the second half.
The Rossies battled on and Ray Mulry grabbed a late consolation goal.
