Patrick Kennedy previews Sunday's Munster SHC semi-final between Tipperary and Waterford.
MUNSTER SHC SEMI-FINAL
Tipperary v Waterford, Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Sunday, 2.00pm.
Tipp seems to have all the aces in their pack for the Munster SHC clash with Waterford.
Waterford are without Ken McGrath and John Mullane through injury while Eoin Kelly is still suspended.
Waterford have never relied as heavily on Paul Flynn as they will in this game. If he fails to score eight or nine points they have little hope. Unfortunately for them Tipp are sure to employ an experienced defender on him.
At the other end of the field Waterford do not have an obvious man-marker to track Eoin Kelly for the afternoon. The Decies full-back line has always been a concern and now that they have lost some of the cover in their half-back line they look likely to self destruct.
Waterford will be looking to the qualifiers after this battle as Tipp can plan for a provincial decider against the Rebels, happy in the knowledge that they have proved the pre-season doubters wrong.
Verdict: Tipperary.
