The injury crisis affecting the Waterford senior hurlers has deepened as Ken McGrath fractured his thumb in a club game at the weekend.
McGrath is due to undergo surgery this morning and will miss the Munster CHC semi-final against Limerick or Tipperary on June 4.
McGrath sustained the injury in a game for his club side, Mount Sion, as they took on Ballyduff Lower on Saturday.
The Deise are already without John Mullane (broken arm) and the suspended Eoin Kelly, while Paul Flynn is suffering from a chest injury.
