Cathal Naughton will make his first start for the rebel hurlers when they take on Clare, with both sides hoping to qualify for the knock out stages of the competition, in Cusack Park at 3.30pm on Sunday.
Pat Mulcahy, this year's captain, also returns to the side at corner-back. Naughton starts at the top of the right in place of Neil Ronan.
Seán Og O'hAilpin continues in the midfield berth that he took up in the victory over Wexford last weekend.
Newtownshandrum duo Ben and Jerry O'Connor have still not returned to the starting line-up.
