Clinical Waterford overcame Down on a scoreline of 6-12 to 0-08 in their NHL Div 1A tie at Portaferry.
The Decies picked up their third win in 1A as Jack Kennedy (2), Seamus Prendergast (2), Paul Flynn and John Mullane shared out the goals.
Flynn (4 minutes), Kennedy (15), from a Flynn set-up, and Prendergast (22), flashing home a Dan Shanahan cross, all netted for a 3-06 to 0-05 interval lead.
Paul Braniff top-scored for Down with 0-05 (0-03 in the first half) as Waterford romped home. Man-of-the-match Shanahan played in Mullane for the visitors’ sixth green flag on 66 minutes.
