2005 All-Star wing back Derek Hardiman will make his first appearance of this season's National Hurling League when Galway take on Laois at Pearse Stadium tomorrow.
Hardiman returns from injury to bolster the Tribesmen, who succumbed to defeats to Antrim and Laois in their opening two Division 1B games.
Manager Conor Hayes has made three changes to the team that lost 0-13 to 0-14 to Limerick, two weeks ago.
Hardiman replaces Cathal Coen in defence, Kevin Brady makes way for David Tierney at right half-forward, while David Donoghue, who was held scoreless against Antrim, comes in for the injured Kevin Broderick, who broke his thumb against Limerick, at left corner forward.
The free-scoring Ger Farragher, who has struck 0-17 in the league to date, is suffering from a stomach bug and may not start.
