Brian Cody is expected to stay on as manager of Kilkenny for an eighth season.
In today's Irish Times, Kilkenny County Board secretary Pat Dunphy says the decision rests with Cody himself.
"It looks like he may stay on and we certainly won't be standing in his way if he wants to," Dunphy said.
Cody has remained tight-lipped on the matter but has said that he will make a definite decision in the next few weeks.
