Seamus Roche of Tipperary will referee the Guinness All-Ireland SHC final between Cork and Galway in Croke Park on Sunday, September 11.

Roche has already taken charge of two finals this year - having refereed the AIB All-Ireland club final between James Stephens and Athenry on St Patrick's Day and the Leinster senior hurling final between Kilkenny and Wexford in July.

A former footballer and hurler with his club Kilsheelan, he has been refereeing for around 12 years and joined the inter-county panel five years ago. This will be his first All-Ireland senior final.
