Galway's hopes of a hurling clean sweep remain intact after their Under-21s brushed aside Cork 1-19 to 1-13 in today's Erin All-Ireland semi-final.
Vincent Mullin's youngsters were always in control, and through 2004 minor Kerrill Wade and senior star Niall Healy, Galway held a 1-10 to 0-6 interval lead. Centre half-forward Aongus Callanan struck home their goal on the half-hour.
Four frees from corner forward Maurice O'Sullivan and a goal from full-forward Michael Cussen kept the Rebels in touch, but Galway, already preparing for minor, intermediate and senior finals, held on to win through to a September 18 decider.
