Kilkenny hurling legend DJ Carey refused to confirm that he will be hanging up his boots in the aftermath of the Guinness SHC semi-final loss to Galway.

Appearing recently on Miriam O'Callaghan's Saturday night TV programme he stated that his inter-county career would come to an end at the conclusion of the 2005 season.

It now seems likely the the nine-time All Star will officially announce his retirement in the next few weeks.

Kilkenny hurling manager Brian Cody announced that he will not rush to any decision regarding his own future. Cody has been at the helm for seven years.
