Offaly boss Mike McNamara may be out of a job when the county board meets next Tuesday.
Although he was initially supposed to be in charge for three years, and is currently in his second, speculation is mounting that he will be sacked.
Relegation to Division 2 of the National League was followed by a poor run by Faithful standards in the Guinness All-Ireland hurling championship this year. Offaly reached the Leinster final but lost to Clare in the qualifiers.
McNamara drafted Michael Duignan in as team coach due to criticism from within the county and it is believed that Duignan would be favourite to replace McNamara should he go.
