Wexford stage amazing comeback against Offaly

Wexford staged a great comeback to beat Offaly by 0-16 to 1-12 when the Faithful County seemed to be running away with the game.

Offaly controlled the first-half and after nine minutes Rory Hanniffy got on the end of a long Brian Whelahan puck to blast to the back of the net. During this period of Offaly dominance Wexford had a penalty chance which goalkeeper Damien Fitzhenry could only lash over the bar.

In the second-half Wexford staged a major comeback, with points coming through Paul Codd. Offaly scored only twice after the break and Wexford substitute Michael Jacob pointed the winner to ensure his side will meet Kilkenny in the Leinster hurling final on July 6.
