Noel Morris makes his return to the Tipperary team to play Kilkenny for his first appearance since the Championship of 2003 after recovering from a broken leg. Brian O Meara however broke two toes in the game against Cork and will be out of the game for some weeks.
Eamonn Corcoran, who missed the game against Cork due to illness makes his return at wing back while Martin Maher comes in at corner back. David Kennedy retains his place at centre back after he replaced Aidan Butler during the game against Cork. John Devane, Richie Flannery, Colin Morrissey all of whom played against Cork are listed as substitutes although that list has yet to be finalised.
