O'Grady confirmed as Cork boss

The appointment of Donal O'Grady as the new cork county senior hurling manager was ratified by the county board tonight as expected. O'Grady has been given a two-year term with Blackrock's Doney Collins named as selector.

It is hoped the three other selectors will be named by the end of the week with O'Grady now seeking clarification as to whether he can name two selectors from the one club.

O'Grady of St Finbars Club was an All-Ireland Hurling winner with Cork in 1984, while he was also a selector when Cork won the 1986 All-Ireland.
