Cork selectors and secretary step down

Cork hurling is to under-go extensive change with the news that the four hurling selectors along with the county secretary have stepped down from their positions with the hurling panel.

Pat McDonnell, PJ Murphy and John Meyler along with county secretary Frank Murphy have stepped down from their positions as of Tuesday night following a meeting of the County Board at Pairc Úi Chaoimh.

The hurlers went on strike last Friday with calls for better conditions, which included calls for their own doctor at all Championship and League matches, a gymnasium to be put in place for the county teams and better travel arrangements to all competitive games.
