Eamon Cregan looks set to return as manager of the Limerick Hurling team after doing a u-turn on his decision to resign. Cregan resigned his post on Tuesday after losing patience with the county's decision to continue using dual players in both codes, but he has since retracted his resignation following an emergency meeting of the Limerick County Board last night, and the overwhelming support of his players.
Cregan's decision means Mossie Carroll will probably step down after just 24 hours in the job. A County Board official said: "Things have changed during the day and a lot of meetings were held. I can't say anymore than that."
