Tipp announce two changes for League semi

Tipperary have announced their team ahead of Saturday's National Hurling League semi final with Galway. The team will be without two key players for the Ennis showdown, with David Kennedy and Noel Morris both absent.

Kennedy, a crucial figure at centre-half back, is to undergo knee surgery later today, which is expected to rule him out of action for some time. Midfielder Morris will also miss the game following his dismissal in last Saturday's 1-16 to 0-13 victory over Laois. The game has a 6.00pm throw-in on Saturday evening, while the other semi-final between All-Ireland champions Kilkenny and Clare will be played out at Semple Stadium in Thurles on Sunday at 3:15pm.

Meanwhile, the Roscommon County Board's motion requesting that the central council of the GAA be given the power to authorise the use of Croke Park for other sports, will almost certainly come before congress next year. The Kilmore club, which put the original motion forward, has decided to reopen the debate and seek support for it again next year.
