Athenry have been crowned All-Ireland Club Champions with a convincing 3-24 to 2-19 victory over Graigue Ballycallan in the hurling final at Croke Park this afternoon. However, the Galway champions needed extra-time to dispose of their Kilkenny opponents, and were in fact two minutes from defeat before Eugene Cloonan's equalising goal in the 58th minute.

Inspirational captain Joe Rabbitte added a second on the stroke of half-time in extra-time to hand the initiative to The Tribesmen, and then David Donohue added a third to give the defending champions a deserved victory.
