Former All-Star Ciaran Carey has withdrawn from the Limerick hurling panel. Carey confirmed his decision in writing to Eamonn Cregan, the manager of the Limerick hurling team. Carey has also withdrawn his services from his local club Patrickswell. Carey has not retired from the game, but insists that it is only a 12 month break.
