Ireland have been forced to abandon plans for an important training camp in Malaysia due to the coronavirus.

Sean Dancer's side had been due to travel for a preparation camp for the Olympic Games.

The team have just returned from South Africa and had lined up the next training exercise in the Asia.

But they could now return to Durban due to this cancellation as they get set for a first appearance at the Games.

"It’s put everything in doubt, not just for us but for everyone," Dancer told the Irish Examiner.

"We are working hard to get something else nailed down quickly but it will definitely be in that same window from 16 March to 5 April."
