Ireland goalkeeper David Harte has been revealed among the nominees for world hockey's goalkeeper of the year for the second year in a row.

The Rio Olympian is the current holder of the title and delivered several superb displays in captaining Ireland as they qualified for and participated in their first Games in more than a century.

Harte faces stiff competition for the FIH award in the shape of Juan Vivaldi (Argentina), Jaap Stockmann (Netherlands), Vincent Vanasch (Belgium) and Parattu Raveendran Sreejesh (India).

Winners will be decided by the combined results of an online vote that is open to the public and a peer vote from international athletes, with the results being confirmed in January.
