Ireland's men lost the Champions Challenge II title to Poland on sudden death penalty strokes following a 3-3 draw at the National Hockey Stadium.
Goals from Michael Watt and John Jermyn gave Ireland a 2-0 lead after 16 minutes.
Marcin Strykowski pulled one back for the Poles on 39 minutes, before Jermyn struck again on 50 minutes to extend Ireland's lead.
Dariusz Rachwalski grabbed Poland’s second on 57 minutes to set up a tense finish.
Strykowski then equalised with 18 seconds left to take the game into extra-time.
Poland then held their nerve in the shootout to claim victory.
Coach Paul Revington said 'I am extremely proud of the team and the quality of hockey they produced throughout the week.
'We are obviously disappointed not to win the event but will bounce back quickly.'
