Ireland coach Dave Passmore has announced an 18-man squad for the Setanta Sports Trophy, which gets under way on Wednesday.
Passmore announced that Ronan Gormley and Mark Gleghorne will act as co-captains for the tournament, which runs until Sunday at UCD.
Despite being hit by recent retirements, Passmore can still call on the experience of Stephen Butler, Graham Shaw and David Hobbs, who have over 350 international caps between them.
Passmore has also chosen to give youth its chance with the selection of Mitch Darling, John Jackson, and goalkeepers Iain Walker and David Harte
Commenting on his selection Passmore said: 'This tournament marks the start of a new cycle, an era for this particular group. The quality of opposition provides the perfect scenario to assess where we are at against some in form teams preparing for the Olympics.
'While, we have had little preparation as a group the squad are keen to impress in front of a home crowd.'
