The Irish women's hockey team lost 3-0 to England in the European Championship in Barcelona this morning. England led 1-0 at half-time but under intense pressure in the second half, Ireland conceded two more goals.
However, Ireland are still in the top eight countries. Riet Kuper's side will now play France in the first of the crossover matches on Thursday.
