IHF adjourn to make appeal decision

The International Hockey Federation have been meeting in Brussels today to hear Lithuania's protest against the decision to order a replay of their penalty strokes shoot-out with Ireland in a World Cup qualifier. Ireland qualified for next year's World Cup finals in Australia after Lithuania refused to show up for the replay at the qualifier in France last September. However, Lithuania decided to appeal against the outcome.

The arbitration committee heard submissions from all concerned this afternoon and have adjourned to make a decision on the matter but it could be tomorrow before their findings are released.
