Séamus Power continued his strong form at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson in Texas with a bogey-free 65 that keeps him in the upper reaches of the leaderboard going into the weekend.
The Waterford man came into Friday's second round off the back of a five-under 66.
Power built on that in style in a superb opening nine holes at TPC Craig Ranch. Teeing off from the 10th hole, the 39-year-old picked up back-to-back birdies on 11 and 12.
Another would follow on 14 before he went on a birdie run with three-in-a-row from 16 to 18.
Power was unable to keep that momentum going in his final nine holes however with no further birdies thereafter.
But he also avoided making any bogeys which leaves sitting on 11 under overall in a tie for 10th, with some of the late starters still to complete their second rounds.
Si-Woo Kim is the runaway leader, seven shots ahead of Power.
The South Korean carded an almost blemish free second round 60 with the sole bogey coming on the par-4 18th.
He sits five shots clear of compatriot Sung-Jae Im (61), world number one Scottie Scheffler (63), 2023 US winner Wyndham Clark (63) and Japan's Kensei Hirata (65).
Three-time major winner Jordan Spieth is part of a four-way tie for sixth one shot further back.
