Pádraig Harrington, Tom McKibbin and Séamus Power have confirmed they will take part in the Amgen Irish Open.

The Irish trio will join defending champion Rory McIlroy and past winner Shane Lowry when a world-class field gathers at Trump International Golf Links Ireland in Doonbeg for the first time, beginning on 9 September.

Former champion Harrington continues to compete at the highest level, finishing inside the top 20 at last week's US PGA Championship.

"I’m really excited to get back home and play this year’s Amgen Irish Open. It’s a tournament that means a lot to me, and one that I enjoy now more than ever," said the three-time major championship winner.

"We love our golf in Ireland, so I have no doubt it will be a special week. The Irish Open is as much about showcasing great golf as it is about creating a festival atmosphere for all to enjoy. I can’t wait to take it all in myself, alongside some of the best fans in the world."

McKibbin will tee it up for a fifth Irish Open, having recorded a top 20 finish at last year’s tournament.

The 23-year-old, who became the youngest winner from the island of Ireland since McIlroy when he triumphed at the 2023 European Open on what was his 26th start, will hope to continue his climb in Clare this autumn.

McKibbin stated: "I know the crowds will make it a great week, and I can’t wait to check out the new course and see what we can achieve."

Two-time PGA Tour winner Power, who has become one of Ireland’s most consistent performers on the global stage, will make a seventh appearance in his home tournament.

The Waterford native will be looking to add his name to the distinguished list of Amgen Irish Open champions and claim his maiden DP World Tour title in front of home crowds.

"This week is such a highlight of my year. It has an amazing atmosphere, with fans who get behind you after every shot, and it just keeps getting better year on year with the support of Amgen," Power said.

"Being based in America, I can’t wait to come back and hopefully create some pretty special memories close to home."
