A limited number of tickets for the 100th anniversary of the Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in County Limerick will go on sale for people in Ireland this Friday, a month before the ballot opens to golf fans across the world.

Ryder Cup Europe has announced details of how fans can buy tickets for the event which takes place from 13 to 19 September next year, while it also also been confirmed that entrance will cost up to €500.

The price is a record-high for the event in Europe, although less than the previous competition in New York.

The 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome had general tickets at €260, which means prices have nearly doubled for 2027.

Residents from the island of Ireland can get early access to tickets via an exclusive priority window which opens on the Ryder Cup Europe website this Friday, 24 April, with the full public ballot for fans from the rest of the world then set to open on Wednesday, 3 June.

A limited number of general admission daily tickets will go on sale to residents of the island of Ireland for the three match days - Friday, 17 September, Saturday, 18 September and Sunday, 19 September – at a cost of €499 per daily ticket, at 11am this Friday.

A limited number of tickets for the Tuesday and Wednesday practice days will also be available to buy from €89, along with tickets for Thursday, 16 September – a day which will feature the opening ceremony - from €179.

In addition, practice day tickets for fans under the age of 16 can be purchased from €20 on the Tuesday and Wednesday and €30 on the Thursday.

Ryder Cup Europe says only residents from the island of Ireland with a registered Ryder Cup ticket account will be able to access this ticket window.

Organisers say an additional benefit for island of Ireland residents will be that thousands of tickets will be available for Tuesday's practice day as part of the 'SuperValu Community Day’ courtesy of Musgrave.

Following the exclusive Irish window, fans from around the world will then be able to apply for general admission daily tickets as part of the global ticket ballot which opens on Wednesday, 3 June.

Prices for matchday tickets and practice day tickets will be the same as those in the Irish window and details of this sale will be communicated directly to registered ticket account holders.

Richard Atkinson, the European Tour Group’s chief Ryder Cup officer, said there is already tremendous excitement and anticipation about the Ryder Cup heading back to Ireland and to Adare Manor next year.

"We have extensive plans in place to enhance the onsite experience for fans attending the 2027 Ryder Cup, including a record 20,000 grandstand seats and an increased number of giant screens. For the first time, there will also be an Official Ryder Cup campsite with entertainment, full details of which will be announced in due course.

"We also wanted to ensure that as wide a demographic as possible can be part of, and enjoy, this major global sporting event."

All fans wishing to attend the 2027 Ryder Cup will need to have a registered ticket account through the Ryder Cup Europe website.

The organisers say details of how to secure accommodation will also be provided as part of the ticket application process.

Next year, Europe will attempt to win the Ryder Cup for the third successive time following victories in 2023 at Marco Simone in Rome, Italy, and in 2025 at Bethpage in New York.

Luke Donald led Team Europe on both of those occasions and returns as Captain in Adare Manor for 2027 aiming to become the first Captain in the history of the Ryder Cup on either side to win three times in a row.
