Aine Donegan and Annabel Wilson remain in the middle of the field

Aine Donegan of Ireland watches her tee shot on the first hole during day two of the 2025 KPMG Women’s Irish Open Golf Championship at Carton House Golf Club in Maynooth, Kildare.

Aine Donegan and Annabel Wilson both posted third-round 72s as they remained off the pace at the Australian WPGA Championship.

That leaves Donegan T34th on one-under par, 13 shots behind leader Hannah Green who continues to set the pace in front of her home fans after a second successive round of 67.

For the third time this week, Donegan bogeyed the second, but she did bounce back with a birdie at the next. It was similar at the sixth and seventh – a double bogey followed by a recovering birdie – and the 17th and 18th where a bogey was followed by a closing birdie.

Wilson, meanwhile, is back on three-over par, good enough for T55th.

She had recorded a demoralising 76 on Friday, but tried her best to quickly overcome that with back-to-back birdies to begin, but she couldn't any more across her round while she also dropped three shots.

Australian Green is chasing three consecutive wins this week having claimed her home open last Sunday plus the HSBC Women’s World Championship three weeks ago.

FULL LEADERBOARD

She will tee up alongside Casandra Alexander for the second Sunday in a row, as well as Switzerland’s Vanessa Knecht – both of which sit on 12-under par.

"I am obviously one of the poster girls (this week)," Green said. "So I feel like there are some more pressures on myself. But I think I’ll use that to my advantage.

"Perhaps the other girls will also feel nervous. Everyone’s trying to win a trophy. Everyone wants it, so it’s going to be hopefully not too much of a grind tomorrow."

"I felt confident out there and there were certain pins that I could attack more than others and it worked out. [Ahead of tomorrow], I’m going to have a few phone calls and then I’m going to do my stats and go over them, see what I can adjust and then prep for tomorrow and go to bed early.

"I've put in a lot of work. I was off for a long time due to a wrist injury. I'm super happy to be back and letting my golf speak for itself."
