Hannah Green held onto her overnight lead to become the first home winner of the Women's Australian Open since 2014.

The Perth native carded a final round 70 on Sunday to finish on 11 under at the Kooyonga GC, just one shot clear of Agathe Laisne of France and fellow Australian Cassie Porter.

It marks Green's second win in three weeks after she was victorious in Singapore on the LPGA Tour a fortnight ago. It is also her first win on the Ladies European Tour (LET).

"I'm kind of am a bit speechless, to be honest," Green said.

"I think the win in Singapore definitely helped with my nerves today. I felt a little bit more in control of my golf ball. I felt like it was quite tough to make birdies, so I don’t know how Cassie (Porter) had such a good round today. But yeah, just really happy to have my name on that trophy amongst all the amazing other winners as well as Webby.

"I have said before that winning your own championship is like winning a Major and I definitely still feel that way. It was just different playing in front of home. I knew everyone wanted me to have the trophy in their hands at the end of the day. So that was a really nice feeling."

South Africa's Casandra Alexander and Australia's Karis Davidson were tied for fourth on six under.

There were no Irish involved in the final two rounds with Annabel Wilson, Anna Foster and Áine Donegan all having missed the cut.
