France's Celine Herbin has a one-shot lead midway through the Women's Australian Open, while the Irish contingent of Annabel Wilson, Anna Foster and Áine Donegan missed the cut at the Kooyonga GC.
Herbin recovered from a double bogey on the par-4 sixth to post a consecutive round of 69, leaving her on six under.
In a tie for second, a shot further back, are two home-based players: Kirsten Rudgeley (67), Hannah Green (69) and Agathe Laisne (70) from France.
Overnight leader Darcey Harry, after a round of 75, is now three shots back, as is Germany's Alexandra Forsterling, who shot 74.
Annabel Wilson's round of 75 saw her finish on eight over, while a 77 for Anna Foster left her a shot worse off.
Áine Donegan signed for a 78 to finish 14 over.
"It's awesome [to be leading]," Herbin said.
"The truth is, I’m not looking at the leaderboard, so I had no idea that I was leading. I’m just happy with how I played and we will see on Sunday night what happens.
"There was a lot of patience on the first 10 holes today. I had to save a couple of pars. I had a few birdie chances but the ball was just not dropping. But we stayed patient with my caddie [Doug]. We really had a good chat about how patience is important. And finally I got the first birdie on the hole number two [my 11th], the par-5, from the bunker. That kind of kicked off the round."
