Kilkenny's Mark Power endured a difficult Sunday but still finished inside the top 50 at the Magical Kenya Open as South Africa’s Casey Jarvis won his first DP World Tour title after a final round twice suspended for storms.

Jarvis, 22, returned from the second stoppage on the 17th fairway to seal a three-stroke win on 25-under par with a birdie-eagle finish to his round of 62, holding off the challenge of playing partner Davis Bryant as the American birdied the last.

Hennie Du Plessis, Jarvis’ compatriot, was third after also finishing birdie-eagle and going within inches of an albatross at the last, with Italy’s Francesco Laporta a shot further back in fourth.

FULL LEADERBOARD

Power had started the final round five shots off the lead and dreaming of a final-day surge, but a round of 73 saw him fall to nine-under par – 16 shots off the eventual winner.

Power, who only arrived at the course on Tuesday on a sponsor’s invite, had the high score of the day with four bogeys and a birdie ensuring a tumble down the leaderboard.
