Séamus Power finished on 13 under after a round of 72 to finish in a tie for 63rd at the The American Express in California as world number one Scottie Scheffler strolled to a four-shot victory.
In his season debut, Scheffler pulled clear of the pack during Sunday's final round. He had started the day tied for second with teenager Blades Brown, with both one shot off Si-Woo Kim.
But the American showed his prowess as he carded a 66 to finish on 27 under and claim a 20th win on the PGA Tour - a landmark which now offers him lifetime membership on the tour.
Scheffler opened with a birdie and bogey but made his intentions clear from the fourth hole, birdieing four of the next six holes.
His stellar form continued after the turn, with birdies on the 11th, 12th, 14th and 16th – his only blemish being a double bogey on the par-three 17th.
Scheffler won six times in 2025 after racking up seven victories in 2024, so he could be on his way to another impressive season. This was the first time he won in his seasonal debut.
"Going into the season, I was just trying to do the things I needed to do in order to be prepared to come out and play this week," Scheffler said. "I'm going to go home, get some rest and kind of rinse and repeat."
The quartet of Andrew Putnam, Jason Day, Matt McCarty and Ryan Gerard tied for second, four shots adrift of the four-time major winner.
Overnight leader Kim ended up tied for sixth alongside Sam Stevens on 22 under after a 72.
Brown posted a two-over 74 to slip back to 19 under and a six-way tie for 18th, which included Rickie Fowler and Will Zalatoris.
Meanwhile, Power started on the 10th but quickly endured a setback with a bogey on 11.
But the Waterford man then picked up a shot at the subsequent hole.
Another birdie came at the second but another dropped shot at the last was not what the 38-year-old wanted as he completed his week's work in California.
