Clare golfer Áine Donegan has secured her Ladies European Tour card for 2026 after coming through Lalla Aicha Q-school in Morocco.

The Curtis Cup winner turned pro earlier this year and put herself in position to gain a card by securing leading qualifier status in Marrakesh earlier this month.

It meant that a top-10 finish would secure her card and a round of 70 on Saturday ensured she finished in a tie for fifth.

There was no such joy for Olivia Mehaffey who finished just outside the top 50 wile Canice Screene was 104th.

Donegan shot to prominence in 2023 when she sat just one shot off the lead at the US Open after the first round. She eventually finished 45th at Pebble Beach.
