Hideki Matsuyama beat Alex Noren in a play-off to claim the Hero World Challenge title at Albany in the Bahamas.
A late flurry of three birdies in the final four holes from the Swede, who was playing alongside Matsuyama in the final round, saw him force the extra hole after matching the Japanese's 22-under-par total.
However, Matsuyama stuck his approach at the first play-off hole to three feet and made the birdie putt to edge out his playing partner to victory.
"I didn't shoot 10-under, but very happy to win this week," Matsuyama told Golf Week.
"It was the perfect distance for me," he said. "I was going right at it."
Noren matched Matsuyama with a final-round 64 to overtake overnight leader Sepp Straka, who was one shot back at 21-under.
World number one Scottie Scheffler and JJ Spaun tied for fourth at 20-under, while Englishman Justin Rose was two shots further back in sixth and Scotland's Robert MacIntyre finished on 11-under.
