Nastasia Nadaud seals maiden LET title in Malaga

Anna Foster finished best of the Irish as France's Nastasia Nadaud stormed to victory firing a 66 to win the season-ending Andalucia Costa del Sol Open de Espana by four strokes.

Foster closed out her tournament at Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf with a 72 to finish on two-under par, 14 shots adrift of Nadaud in a tie for 34th.

Lauren Walsh posted a second successive 74 to finish a further shot back, while Sara Byrne also shot a 74 to finish on three-over in Malaga.

The day however belonged to 21-year-old Nadaud.

She started the day in third place, five shots behind overnight leader Trichat Cheenglab and found birdies at the first and third to apply leaderboard pressure.

An eagle at the fourth, followed by a birdie saw her move to the top of the standings, with three birdies in a row at the turn cementing her grip. Bogeys at the 13th and 16th offered a glimmer of hope to her pursuers, but a birdie at the last sealed a maiden LET title on 16-under-par.

After the turn, the Frenchwoman rolled in three birdies on the trot on holes 10, 11 and 12 before dropping a shot on the 13th and 16th holes.

However, Nadaud went to the 18th hole with a four-shot lead and rolled in her par to seal her win her maiden LET title with a score of 16-under-par.

Australia’s Kirsten Rudgeley ended the week in solo second place after a final round of 69, while four players finished in a share of third place with Australia’s Kelsey Bennett, Germany’s Olivia Cowan, Norway’s Dorthea Forbrigd and France’s Perrine Delacour all on 11-under-par.
