Power - who sits on 15-under, seven shots behind leader Garrick Higgo - impressed again as he moved into the top 20 at the tournament, ending his round with a share of 16th place.

The Waterford man made a blistering start to his third round with five birdies in his first six holes. He added a further birdie on the 10th, but just like in the second, the 18th proved to be his Achilles heel when he hit only bogey of the day.

Power is looking to finish as high as possible in Mexico to boost his bid to retain his PGA Tour card. He currently lies 135th in the FedEx Cup Fall standings with the top 100 after the RSM Classic earning cards for 2026.

Tournament leader Higgo matched the El Cardonal at Diamante course record with an 11-under 61 to take a one-stroke lead on 22-under.

Higgo chipped in for an eagle on the par-five first hole, then sank five straight birdies to record an impressive front-nine seven-under-par 29. He added four more birdies on the back nine, including the par-five 18th, to close out the round as he aims for his second victory of the season.

"Hit it great, made a lot of good putts and chipped in once," Higgo said following the round. "Just everything was really solid and took advantage of opportunities that I had."

Carson Young sits second at 21-under after a nine-under-par 63 that featured 11 birdies and two bogeys.

Young is within striking distance of earning his first career PGA Tour victory, and hopes to build off his second-place finish at the same event last year.

Ben Griffin, Trevor Cone and Chad Ramey are tied for third, two back at 20-under.
