South Korea's Hye-Jin Choi has opened up a four stroke lead at the Maybank Championship, while Leona Maguire is a long way back heading into the final round in Kuala Lumpur.

Maguire, whose last LPGA Tour victory came in June 2023, had carded a decent round of 69 on Friday but regressed with a disappointing two-over par round of 74 on Saturday.

The Solheim Cup star recorded just one birdie, coming on the par-5 10th, with three dropped strokes at the sixth, 12th and 14th holes. She dropped back to two-under overall in tied-52nd, 17 strokes of the leader.

The 26 year old Choi, runner-up at the 2017 US Women's Open as a teenager, holds a four shot lead on 19-under par, with China's Yan Liu posting a 65 to get to 15-under. Australia's Hannah Green is one stroke further back on 14-under.
