A second-round 68 has Lauren Walsh best-placed of the Irish at the La Sella Open in Spain, with the 25-year-old to start her third round 10 shots off clubhouse leader Anna Huang of Canada.
After opening with a 72, Walsh didn't drop a shot on Friday at La Sella Golf Resort, four birdies leaving her joint-10th on four-under par.
Annabel Wilson is a further three shots back, a double-bogey at the eighth halting her progress en route to a 73.
A 70 saw Sara Byrne finish on three-over, one shot outside the cut, while Olivia Mehaffey (+4), Canice Screene (+5) and Anna Foster (+11) will also play no part over the weekend.
At the top of the standings, teenager Huang followed up her flawless first round with a bogey-free 66.
Huang, who started from the 10th tee, rolled in her first birdie of the day on 12 before another on 13, and she had a tap-in birdie on 18 to make the turn in -3.
The 16-year-old continued her consistent form, rolling in a birdie on the fourth and she added two more on the seventh and the ninth to lead by three strokes with a total of 14-under-par.
France’s Nastasia Nadaud sits in solo second place on 11-under-par after a round of 67.
