Leona Maguire and Stephanie Meadow endured contrasting second rounds at the FM Championship in Boston but in the end, neither managed to make it through to the weekend.
The Irish pair were back out early this morning to finish their second rounds after three weather delays saw the action greatly reduced on Friday.
Korea's Sei Young Kim produced her second successive 65 to move to 14 under par, three clear of Chinese rookie Miranda Wang, who did manage to finish her round on Friday before the weather took its toll.
When play did resume on Saturday, Maguire had 14 holes to finish from even par, but she went to record three bogeys to fall to three over and five shots outside the cut line.
Meadow carded a tidy round of 69 to move back to level par for the tournament, but it wasn’t enough to be involved when the belated third round starts on Saturday.
