LIV Golf trio Brooks Koepka, Sergio Garcia and Tyrrell Hatton have confirmed they will compete in the Amgen Irish Open at the K Club next month.

With the LIV season winding to a close, the trio have decided to pitch up at the Kildare course for the tournament that runs from 4-7 September.

The presence of five-time major winner Koepka in particular is a major boon for tournament organisers, though the 35-year-old has struggled for form on the LIV Tour this year.

Koepka, whose last major championship victory came at the PGA championship in Oak Hill in 2023, was a European Tour regular from 2012 to 2014 though did not play in the Irish Open in those years.

Garcia was the highest placed of the aforementioned trio at LIV Golf Chicago at the weekend, taking home a cheque for $235,000 after a tie for 19th. The Spaniard is a former winner of the tournament, enjoying a three-stoke victory over Angel Cabrera at Druids Glen in 1999.

Hatton, who opened with a 68 at Royal Portrush last month before finishing in a tie for 16th, will return to Irish shores.

The Irish quartet of Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Padraig Harrington and Seamus Power have all confirmed their participation.

Rasmus Hojgaard will look to defend his title after his late surge denied McIlroy at Royal County Down last September.

The Dane took home the winner's cheque for just over €920,000 with an overall prize fund of €6m.
