England's Marco Penge and Xiao Bowen of China share the lead on 12 under going into the final round of the Hainan Classic, with Ireland's Conor Purcell back on level par.
Penge fired two eagles on the back nine, as well as carding five birdies and a double bogey in his 65.
Joining him at the summit was home favourite Xiao, who made seven birdies and no bogeys, when also coming in with a 65.
The leading duo sit one shot ahead of New Zealand's Daniel Hillier in third.
Purcell carded a 73 in a round that included birdies on three and 12.
When asked what his game plan will be on Sunday, Penge, chasing his maiden DP World Tour title, said: "Just the same really. Just enjoy myself.
"I've been really working this year to try and stay patient and acceptant of whatever the outcome is.
"Me and my caddie have just been trying to control the things we can control and at the end of the day, if I go and play well tomorrow or not it’s not going to define me as a person.
"I just appreciate doing what I do and I love it. So I’ll just go and have fun really."
