Leona Maguire battled her way inside the cut mark with a round of 71 on another weather interrupted day at the Chevron Championship in Texas.
Maguire recovered from an opening day 75 to post a one-under par round to lie tied-64th on two-over par overall. Late on Friday, there were still nine players left to finish after thick fog had delayed the start but on the resumption, none could push the cut line into +1 and Maguire secured her sport for the weekend.
Beginning on the back nine, Maguire birdied her opening hole on the 10th, recovering from a bogey on the par-5 13th with back-to-back birdies on 16 and 17, the latter of which was inches away from a hole-in-one at the par-3.

A double-bogey on the short third hole left outside the cut mark again but she rallied once more with birdies on the fifth and eighth hole seeing her to +2 at the end of Friday.
At the head of the field, a remarkable albatross helped Yan Liu grab a one-stroke lead after two rounds of the Chevron Championship.
Liu, who shared the lead after the first round of the women's first major championship of the year, holed her second shot on the par five eighth.
Her only birdie of the day at the last gave her the lead on seven-under-par after four bogeys in a round of 72.
She leads by one stroke from Americans Sarah Schmelzel and Lindy Duncan, who carded a best round of the day 66, Japan’s Mao Saigo and Hyo Joo Kim of South Korea.
England’s Georgia Hall followed her opening 69 with a 72 to sit four strokes off the lead, but Charley Hull dropped to four-over-par, one behind Scotland’s Gemma Dryburgh.
World number one Nelly Korda, the defending champion, moved inside the cut line with a 68 – nine strokes better than her opening round after changing her putter.
