Conor Purcell will have a busy second day at the Hainan Classic as bad weather conditions limited him to just 10 holes on Thursday.

Purcell was sitting on level par when the storms started to roll in. Play is set to resume at midnight Irish time in the final leg of the DP World Tour's 2025 Asian Swing.

While much of the field is facing an early start, a trio of clubhouse leaders did get their round complete with the in-form Hao-Tong Li of China, Thailand's Kiradech Aphibarnrat and Norway’s Kristoffer Reitan all signing off with six-under 66s.

Purcell made hay at the par fives on the front nine, picking up shots at the second and sixth, but bogeys at the fourth and ninth saw him fall back to level par.

The Dubliner came into the event in good form having earned a top-20 finish at the China Open last week.

Li, meanwhile, has already won on Tour this season having claimed the Commerical Bank Qatar Masters in February and produced his 14th round in the 60s of his last 19 rounds.
