Leona Maguire shot an opening round 68 to sit five shots off the lead after day one of the Eagle LA Championship at El Caballero Country Club.
Despite a bogey on her opening hole, the Cavan golfer fired six birdies in a tidy round that leaves her four-under-par overall - her only other dropped shot coming on the par-five 10th hole.
Maguire's card featured a pair of twos on the par-three 15th (her sixth) and the short sixth (her 15th) as she put together matching nines of 34.
The scoring has been low in LA, however, Maguire's fine round is good enough to leave her tied 24th heading into round two.
Ashleigh Buhai of South Africa and China's Yan Liu are atop the leaderboard after matching 63s, with Sweden's Frida Kinhult a shot.
